Cora co-hosts HR Development Workshop
Earlier this week Cora Founder Izzy Boland was delighted to attend and co-host the second of our vibrant HR Development Workshops with Sofia Syed from Keystone Law, and the Association of Celebrity Assistants (the ACA).
These get togethers are informal and provide a confidential space where the brightest Private PA minds discuss and debate the most pressing topics in household management, with the focus of this week’s seminar being boundaries and how to deal with them being crossed.
The benefits of HR and legal involvement and guidance across the Private Household employee lifecycle were very clear. Often Private PAs are working with no line-management between them and the Principal, and with no formal HR training they have to try and navigate across the choppy waters of recruitment, management and termination of employment for household teams, and themselves.
What became clear over the course of the evening is that Private PAs need more support and at Cora we provide our clients with an HR consultancy service, either on a retained or project basis – an agile offering that adapts to changing household needs, whilst remaining robust and ensuring compliance. If you would like more information on this service please do get in touch – we are here to support you.
Our thanks to Home Grown Private Members Club for hosting us – a gorgeous, colourful and vibrant space tucked behind Marble Arch, as ever to Sofia for providing her expert advice, and to Anna Burke at the ACA for organising. Looking forward to the next one already.
