Live-in Nanny

Our new clients, a private family based in a beautiful rural area near Oxford, are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and proactive Live-in Nanny to care for their three young children, all under the age of eight.

Two of the children attend school and the youngest child is due to attend nursery in 2025.

This is a full-time position, working Monday – Friday. The Nanny will be responsible for creating a structured, loving environment for the children, supporting their educational and developmental growth, and ensuring their safety and happiness each day.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the Live-in Nanny for three children include:

  • Care for three children, including bath time, bedtime routines, and supporting their daily needs
  • School and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Plan and supervise extracurricular activities, playdates, school clubs, and other scheduled events
  • Organise children’s weekly schedule, keeping track of school calendars and any required arrangements
  • Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced meals for the children, including batch cooking for the weekends
  • A bonus if you occasionally cook for the parents
  • Encourage children’s learning and development, including homework assistance, reading, music studies, and fostering creativity and imagination
  • Adhere to family rules, routines, and boundaries to help the children thrive in a stable and structured environment
  • Plan fun and stimulating indoor and outdoor activities to ensure the children are engaged and active
  • Light tidying and organisation related to the children
  • Proxy parenting on 1-2 occasions per year (for short periods when parents are away)
  • Occasional travel with the family (optional)

Candidate must be/have:

  • 3 – 5 years of professional Nanny experience
  • Friendly, organised, and capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong swimmer, with a confidence in supervising pool time
  • First Aid qualification
  • Experience working with children with allergies
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (car will be provided)
  • Dog-friendly, as there is a family pet
  • Must be comfortable in a rural location; nearest shops are 10 minutes away by car, and Oxford is a 20-minute drive

  • Flexible and adaptable to the family’s needs and schedule

Accommodation

Private ensuite bedroom with shared use of kitchen for time off shift.

Hours

07:30 – 19:30, Monday to Friday.

Location

Rural location near Oxford.

Salary

Up to £50,000.
