Nanny
Overview
A young family based in Zurich, Switzerland, are looking for an experienced and nurturing Nanny to care for their bright and inquisitive 22-month-old.
This is an exciting and varied position for a dedicated childcare professional with a background in Montessori or Early Years education, and a genuine passion for supporting early development through play based, child led learning. The role is supported by two Nanny/Housekeepers.
A private apartment separate from the main residence will be provided. The position involves frequent travel to global destinations.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Nanny for 22-month-old in Europe, include:
- Provide nurturing, age-appropriate support tailored to the needs of a 22-month-old
- Preparation of balanced, nutritious meals
- Manage and support the child’s daily schedule, including sleep and feeding routines
- Create and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate activities with a strong emphasis on Montessori principles and creative learning
- Work in close collaboration with the parents and household team to ensure consistent, high-standard care
- Prepare for and accompany the family on frequent international trips
- Ensure all environments, both permanent and temporary, are clean, calm and child-safe
Candidates must be/have:
- Qualified in Montessori/Early Years education
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in fully staffed
- Warm, emotionally intelligent, and deeply committed to nurturing child development
- Discreet, polished, and confident in a shared care environment
- Fluent English required; knowledge of French, Italian, or German is an asset
- Holds an EU passport or Swiss residency/citizenship
- Strong team player who thrives in collaborative households
- Flexible and willing to travel extensively with the family across international locations
Accommodation
A separate private apartment near the family home is provided.
The family would also consider live-out nannies who live within a commutable distance of the family home.
Hours
Up to 60 hours per week, across five days. Two days off.
Location
Zurich, Switzerland + frequent international travel.
Salary
From CHF 90,000 annually.
