Rota Nanny

Overview

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a caring, flexible and discreet Rota Nanny, for their one-year-old daughter, within a formal fully staffed household in Milan.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a highly capable Nanny to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, whilst making a significant impact on a child’s early development. The baby girl is happy and healthy, in a good routine. She has had nannies since birth and has no dietary requirements.

The family currently resides in Milan and travel often (all expenses will be covered). Please note, an EU or UK based contract can be provided, so EU and UK citizens can apply. The Rota is working two weeks on, two weeks off.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the Rota Nanny in Milan and UK include:

  • Daily nanny duties to ensure the needs of the child are met; changing nappies, preparing milk/meals as required, bathing child as required, dressing child as directed and providing suitable age appropriate stimulation/activities throughout
    their days
  • Supporting the parents in developing a routine, based around the requirements of the child; feeding times, sleep times, activity time, bathing time. You will be responsible for planning and suggesting structure of days
  • Creating a safe environment for the child to play and live within, including assessment of risks in new environments and where applicable, altering environments to minimise potential accident or injury, and provide safe guarding of
    the child
  • Overseeing the cleanliness and hygiene of all equipment and toys
  • Providing clear and regular updates to the parents relating to the wellbeing and development of the child
  • Implementing a development plan, alongside the parents and the other Rota Nanny, which follows some of the basic guidelines of EYFS
  • Managing daily routines, including naps, bathing, and bedtime
  • Travelling extensively with the family, ensuring all the child’s needs are met while on the move
  • Undertaking laundry duties

Candidates must be/have:

  • Proven experience working in a formal household, preferably with a Middle Eastern family
  • Strong understanding of child development and early years education
  • Well-presented and possessing good time management skills
  • Ability to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
  • Flexibility to travel extensively and adapt to different cultural environments and shift patterns
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour
  • Fluent English
  • In-depth knowledge of First Aid (training can be provided)

Accommodation

Self-contained accommodation – consisting of a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom – will be provided.

Hours

24 hours per day, two weeks on/off.

Location

Milan, Italy and UK.

Salary and benefits

Up to £90,000, depending on experience.

The family will offer the successful candidate a yearly Continuous Professional Development budget (CPD) of £170.
