Rota Nanny
Overview
A HNW bilingual family in Paris is seeking an experienced Rota Nanny to care for their two young sons, aged three and seven months. The father is American and works full-time, and the mother, who is French, is a stay at home mother.
They enjoy going on walks as a family and exploring nearby playgrounds. The two boys have a well-structured routine, with the older one attending preschool during the week. The parents are deeply committed to keeping their children happy and engaged. The mother plays an active role in their daily lives, and enjoys playing and doing activities with them.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a mixture of shared care and sole charge, working on a 24/7 rota schedule, with the exact rhythm to be discussed at interview stages, as the family are flexible. The position includes international travel and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and nurturing environment, in the beautiful city of Paris.
The family employ a Housekeeper, who has been with them for over 10 years.
Start date: ASAP.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Rota Nanny for two children in Paris include:
- Providing high-quality care for two young children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being
- Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities to support their early childhood development, ideally incorporating Montessori-inspired approaches
- Preparing healthy meals for the children
- Assisting with establishing and maintaining routines, including nap times, meals, and outings
- Working in collaboration with the mother, who is actively involved in the children’s daily lives
- Packing for and accompanying the family on international holidays (Caribbean, USA, South of France, Alps)
- Running light child-related errands when necessary
Candidates must be/have:
- Previous experience as a Rota Nanny or similar position
- EU Passport/right to work in France
- Native British – would be a plus
- A passion for early childhood development and a proactive approach to creating a stimulating environment
- Calm, efficient, professional, and engaging, with the ability to balance shared and sole care responsibilities
- Comfortable working in a structured yet flexible household
- Open to and aligned with a healthy lifestyle, as the family values wellness, learning, and exploration
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus but not required
- Willingness to travel internationally
Accommodation
A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided during shift.
Location
Paris, France. The family’s home is located in a prime area, directly across from a large park and close to shops and amenities.
Salary & Benefits
£55,000 – £85,000, depending on experience.
Annual CPD budget of £170 will be offered for professional development.
