Live-in Baby Nanny
Overview
A relaxed family based between North London and Devon is seeking an experienced Baby Nanny to support the family from Monday 28th September 2026, following on from a Maternity Nurse, caring for their three-month-old baby.
They are looking for a calm, gentle and unhurried professional who can integrate seamlessly into their informal household.
The position will be split between their home near Chagford in Devon, and their second home in North London. The family employs a Gardener and Cleaner at both properties.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Baby Nanny in Devon / London include:
- Providing attentive postnatal and infant care
- Supporting feeding routines and infant development
- Establishing gentle, age-appropriate routines
- Offering guidance and reassurance to the mother; particularly when the father is working away
- Leading on from, and developing, the routine of the Maternity Nurse who has been in place since birth.
- Working collaboratively within a calm and informal household
- Light nursery duties, such as tidying the baby’s area, and organising clothing and supplies
- Supporting the mother during post-partum appointments in London
Candidates must be / have:
- Strong experience as a Baby Nanny or Postnatal Nanny
- Calm, nurturing and emotionally intelligent approach
- Comfortable working in a slow-paced, informal environment
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to relocate between properties
- A driver is required due to the rural Devon location
Accommodation
In North London, the Baby Nanny will be provided with a private bedroom within the home.
In Devon, a bedroom shared with the baby occasionally or separate cottage near the main house.
Hours
Five days per week, 07:00 – 19:00
Location
Near Chagford, Devon, approximately 70% of the time.
Angel, North London, approximately 30% of the time.
Salary
From £50,000+, depending on experience and prior earnings.
