Home Manager / Housekeeper
Overview
A lovely, easy-going family living in a beautiful three-bedroom cottage in a rural setting near Petworth, West Sussex, is looking for a reliable and adaptable Home Manager / Housekeeper to help keep their home running smoothly.
This is a hands-on, part-time position (approximately 12 hours per week) suited to someone who enjoys bringing calm and structure to a happy, slightly chaotic home. The family consists of two adults and a teenager, and there are no other household staff.
Start date: ASAP.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the House Manager / Housekeeper near Petworth, include:
- General housekeeping of a three-bedroom cottage
- Laundry and ironing
- Keeping the home organised, tidy, and well-run
- Fridge filling and light household shopping
- General life administration and household organisation
- Occasional school pick-ups
- Occasional family cooking, if desired (optional and reflected in salary)
Candidates must be/have:
- Warm, flexible, and proactive with a good sense of humour
- Comfortable working independently in a hands-on role
- Organised and able to support a busy family lifestyle
- A confident driver (very rural location)
- Happy around a relaxed, informal household environment
- Open to a role that may evolve depending on skills and availability

Hours
Approximately 12 hours per week. Flexible on days and timings.
Some flexibility to increase or decrease hours by mutual agreement.
Salary
