Junior Estate Manager
Overview
We’re working on a search for a Junior Estate Manager for a substantial private and commercial estate in Wiltshire, extending over 1,000 acres.
The estate is mixed-use, comprising working farmland, managed forestry, private and kitchen gardens, a family residence with extensive grounds including lakes, cabins, saunas and entertaining spaces, as well as recreational lakes with guest cabins. Commercial activity is led by a well-established shoot, alongside several developing lifestyle ventures, supported by a team of 21 staff and contractors.
The family is in residence at weekends and holidays, so some weekend working should be expected, particularly during the shooting and events seasons.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estate Assistant or Assistant / Junior Estate Manager looking to develop their career within a large, diverse private estate. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider estate team, taking responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the estate and supporting the delivery of maintenance, projects, compliance and commercial activities.
The role would suit someone practical, organised and commercially aware, with the confidence to coordinate staff and contractors while maintaining high standards across the estate. A calm and diplomatic approach is essential, as is the ability to respond flexibly to the changing requirements of the Principal and family.
A relocation package will be considered for exceptional candidates.
