Live-out Housekeeper
Overview
We are seeking an experienced, high-energy Travelling Housekeeper for a fully staffed, high-end private household for our British client based in Belgravia, working across two flats in the same building (one a two bedroom, three bathroom flat and the other three bedroom, four bathroom flat).
This is a permanent, long-term position suited to a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in private households. The successful candidate will be confident working independently while also collaborating closely with the wider household team. The Travelling Housekeeper will be required to join the Principal on extensive travel to the EU and US.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Live-out Travelling Housekeeper in Belgravia, London, include:
- Full daily housekeeping duties including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and mopping
- Laundry and ironing to an exceptionally high standard, including fine and delicate fabrics
- Bed making and linen care
- Wardrobe management and organisation
- Packing and unpacking suitcases for the Principal’s travel
- Organisation of pantries, cupboards and storage areas
- Shopping, ad hoc errands and restocking household supplies
- Monitoring and maintaining household product inventory
- Liaising with contractors and overseeing maintenance visits
- Coordinating closely with the Personal Assistant and other household staff
Candidates must be/have:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Housekeeper within a high-end private household
- Flexible approach, with availability to work occasional weekends
- Meticulous attention to detail and consistently high standards
- Resilient and comfortable taking direction
- Highly organised with strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a household team
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Willingness to undergo background and reference checks
- Professional, verifiable references required
Hours
Full-time, live-out. Monday to Friday, either 11:00 – 20:00 / 12:00 – 21:00.
Flexibility required, including occasional weekend work (around 50% of the year).
Location
Belgravia, London (two private residences).
+ extensive travel to US/EU.
Salary
Up to £60,000.
Negotiable, dependent on experience.
