Live-out Housekeeper
Overview
A wonderful opportunity for an experienced Live-out Housekeeper to take care of two beautifully appointed apartments within the same building near the Louvre in Paris, owned by an international family.
As the principals visit infrequently (always with 24 hours’ notice) this is a role with genuine autonomy, where you’ll take pride in keeping both apartments presented to an exceptionally high standard year round.
You’ll report into the House Manager, with the support of a clear structure behind you.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Live-out Housekeeper near the Louvre, Paris, include:
- Maintain both apartments – a three bedroom apartment (near Louvre), and a 4 bedroom apartment (Malaquais), to an exceptionally high standard at all times
- Divide time across the two properties over the 5 day working week
- Keep everything in perfect order, with the exception of towels and bed linen, which should only be freshened ahead of a principal’s arrival
- Refresh towels in bathrooms and make beds in preparation for any notified arrival
- Carry out thorough, detail-oriented cleaning throughout both apartments, with close attention paid to finishes, surfaces, and presentation
- Proactively check both properties and report any maintenance issues (e.g. dripping taps, faults, wear) promptly
- Maintain a professional, discreet manner; security personnel are present on site, but there is no client contact
Candidates must be/have:
- Fluent in English and French (essential)
- Previous experience in a private household or high-end hotel housekeeping role
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in maintaining the highest standards
- Comfortable managing two distinct properties with differing styles within the same working week
- Trustworthy, discreet, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and flexible to accommodate arrivals at short (24-hour) notice

Hours
35 hours per week, across five days.

Salary
€3,500 net per month.
