Temp Live-out Nanny
Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced and organised Temporary Live-out Nanny to take care of their two children (boy born March 2020 and girl born April 2021). A French or Spanish speaking Nanny would be desirable but not essential.
The family seeks someone who is reliable, energetic and capable of managing the daily rhythm of school age children with confidence and care. A positive attitude and genuine love of working with children are essential.
This is a temporary role, commencing on Friday 11 February to early June 2026, with the hours Monday to Friday, 12:00 / 13:00 – 19.00.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Temporary Live-out Nanny in New York, include:
- Providing attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for two young children
- Supporting a fun, stimulating, and happy childhood while encouraging good manners, kindness, and respectful behaviour
- Speaking French or Spanish consistently with the children to support language development (desirable)
- Managing daily routines, including morning preparation and occasional school drop-offs (children attend different schools)
- Organising age-appropriate activities, including sports, creative play, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, and swimming
- Preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the children; undertaking food shopping and menu planning
- Managing all nursery duties, including children’s laundry, tidying play areas, and keeping bedrooms organised
- Running occasional household errands related to the children
- Travelling with the family when required, including trips to Europe and the UK
- Acting as a proxy parent during periods when the parents are travelling
- Supporting the family’s lifestyle in a flexible and professional manner
- Being comfortable around the family’s small Cavapoo dog
Candidates must be/have:
- A qualified professional Nanny/Manny with UHNW/HNW experience
- Fluency in French or Spanish (desirable)
- US Passport or Green Card
- Creative, active with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- A team player with strong organisational skills
- A passion for food and nutrition and a capable cook
- Driving licence a bonus, but not essential
- Experience of family travel
Hours
Temporary contract. Starting Friday 11 February to early June 2026.
Monday to Friday, 12:00 / 13:00 – 19.00.
Location
Upper East Side, New York, 10021.
Salary
$40 – $50 per hour
$1,200 – $1,750 per week, depending on hours worked and experience.
