Maternity Night Nanny
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Maternity Night Nanny to provide overnight care and support for a newborn baby (due 16th March 2026) and parents in Battersea, London.
The family has three other children aged 10, 9, and 3. This live-in position offers the opportunity to work with a growing family during the crucial early weeks following birth.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Maternity Night Nanny in Battersea, London, include:
- Providing expert overnight care for newborn baby
- Night feeds (bottle or expressed breast milk)
- Nappy changes, winding, and settling baby throughout the night
- Establishing healthy sleep routines and patterns
- Supporting breastfeeding mothers with night feeds if required
- Sterilising bottles and preparing formula/expressed milk
- Monitoring baby’s health and development
- Maintaining sleep logs and feeding records
- Light nursery duties (baby’s laundry, nursery organisation)
- Providing guidance and reassurance to parents on newborn care
Candidates must be/have:
- Extensive experience as a Maternity Nurse/Night Nanny
- Availability from mid March to mid July
- Recognised maternity nurse qualification (NNEB, NVQ Level 3, Norland, or equivalent)
- Current Paediatric First Aid certification
- Enhanced DBS check
- Excellent references from previous maternity positions
- Right to work in the UK
- Comfortable working in a household with older children

Hours
Night shifts: 20:00 – 08:00
On call from: 10th March 2026. Baby due: 16th March 2026.
Duration: Until mid July.
The family will be away from 20 – 30th May inc, so the Maternity Nurse will be required to take leave during this period.
