Maternity Nurse
Overview
A lovely family based between London and Athens is looking for an experienced, professional and caring Maternity Nurse to welcome their new baby into the world, due in January 2027.
You will support the mother in gently establishing sleep and feeding routines (the baby will be bottle fed), nurture the baby’s early development, and take full responsibility for all nursery duties, while working hand in hand with the parents to create a calm, joyful household and helping the older children bond with their new sibling.
The family have four other children – girls aged 11, 9 and 2, and a boy of 5 – each with their own dedicated nanny, so you’ll be joining a well-established and fully staffed team.
The role is initially based in London, and then Athens, Greece.
Candidates must be/have:
- Extensive, verifiable experience as a Maternity Nurse within UHNW fully staffed households
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. maternity nursing, midwifery, or paediatric nursing)
- Confident supporting bottle feeding and establishing sleep routines
- Excellent, up-to-date references
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Willing to relocate to Athens for the remainder of the position
- Comfortable living in and sharing a room with the baby whilst on duty
- Warm, patient and discreet, with a genuine love of newborn care
- Happy working as part of a large, fully staffed household
Accommodation
Whilst on duty, the Maternity Nurse will share a room and bathroom with the baby.
In London, a separate property is available to enjoy during time off in the day, and in Athens, a private room away from the nursery within the family home offers a peaceful space to rest and recharge.
Contract / Working Pattern
January 2027 start. Six month contract with potential to extend.
The role begins with round-the-clock care during the first two weeks (24/7), before settling into a 24/6 pattern, and eventually easing to 24/5 as routines become established.
Location
The role begins in Marylebone, London, UK before the family relocates to their home in Athens.
Salary
Competitive, DOE. Please advise 24-hour rate.
