Rota Nanny (Norland, Chiltern, or Early Years qualified)

Overview

A lovely family based in Athens is seeking an experienced and qualified Rota Nanny to care for their four children: a girl aged 11, a girl aged 9, a boy aged 5, and a girl aged 1.

The mother is a successful businesswoman who loves being a mother and is equally dedicated to her career. She is direct in her approach and communication style, and is looking for a nanny who is resilient, confident, and able to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced household.

The family are looking for a nanny who can provide continuity of care in a long-term position, with previous experience working in fully staffed households. This is a shared care role when the parents are present; a strong working relationship with the parents is essential, as they wish to remain an active part of their children’s lives.

Candidates must hold a Norland, Chiltern, or Early Years degree qualification.

The family have one dog and travel regularly. A working visa will be organised by the family.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the Rota Nanny in Athens, Greece, include:

  • Provide consistent, nurturing, 24-hour care for all four children across the full age range
  • Plan and deliver engaging, stimulating activities that are age and stage appropriate
  • Support with homework and educational development
  • Manage daily routines including mealtimes, bedtime, and school preparation
  • Cook nutritious, child-appropriate meals
  • Keep children’s areas tidy and organised – including bedrooms, playrooms, and wardrobes
  • Manage children’s laundry
  • Assist with packing and travel preparation for family trips
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and household staff at all times
  • Work collaboratively alongside other professionals in a fully staffed household

Candidates must be/have:

  • Norland, Chiltern, or Early Years Degree qualified (highly desirable)
  • Warm, kind and genuinely passionate about working with children
  • Exceptional communication skills and team player approach
  • Proactive – able to read the room and anticipate needs
  • Kind, respectful, and non-judgemental in their approach
  • Highly professional and confident, with strong common sense
  • A team player with a ‘muck-in’ attitude
  • Experienced in working within fully staffed households
  • Comfortable with regular international travel
  • A driver (preferable)
  • Previous experience in a rota nanny role (desirable but not essential)

Accommodation

A private bedroom and bathroom is always provided during working shifts.

Hours / Schedule

Two weeks on/off. Start date ASAP / one month notice period.

Location

Athens, Greece.

Plus travel to the UK, US, and other holiday destinations.

Flights to / from UK for rota cover will be paid for by the family.

Salary

£75,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
