Rota Nanny
Overview
An active European family based in Kensington, London, are seeking an experienced Rota Nanny to care for their 18-month-old son, a busy, curious and happy little boy, who will be starting nursery part-time from September.
The family are looking for a highly experienced and compassionate Nanny to join their dynamic household. They also have two school aged children who have a second Nanny, Monday – Thursday, and are in the process of recruiting a weekend Nanny for additional support.
The successful nanny will work alongside a Housekeeper and Cook.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Rota Nanny in Kensington, London, include:
- Full sole and shared care of the 18-month-old, including all aspects of daily routine, nap schedules and development
- Planning and delivering stimulating, age-appropriate activities to support an active and curious toddler
- Managing the transition to part-time nursery from September, including drop-off/pick-up and liaison with nursery staff
- Working collaboratively with the second Nanny
- Supporting smoothly around the two school-aged children as needed, in line with their additional support requirements
- Full baby/toddler-related domestic duties: nursery organisation, laundry, meal preparation for the child, and travel packing
- Accompanying the family on trips and holidays, including ski holidays, with full childcare cover while travelling
- Working closely with the family’s Housekeeper (6 days per week) and Cook (4 days per week) as part of a coordinated household team
Candidates must be/have:
- Extensive professional experience as a Rota Nanny, ideally within UHNW or busy family households
- Confident caring for toddlers, with a genuine passion for early years development
- Early Years degree / Norland / Chiltern trained (desirable)
- Comfortable working as part of a larger household team
- Fluent English speaker, with excellent communication skills
- Happy to travel with the family, including for ski holidays and active trips
- Flexible, energetic and able to keep pace with an active family lifestyle
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Excellent, verifiable references
Hours
Rota: two weeks on /off.
Location
Kensington, London, UK + occasional travel with the family.
Salary
Up to £90,000, depending on experience.
