Rota Nanny
Overview
We’ve a great opportunity for an experienced, professional Rota Nanny to join a warm, sporty family in Kensington, London.
Working two weeks on / off alongside a second Rota Nanny, you’ll be at the heart of family life, caring for three young children (7, 5 and 1), with the youngest, their one-year-old daughter, as your main focus. The family also have two older children (aged 11 and 9) who are primarily cared for by the parents, housekeeper and Nanny / Governess.
The successful candidate joins a well-established household team, working alongside the household’s other staff to keep the children’s routines running smoothly. Extensive travel throughout Europe is part of the role, including family ski holidays.
Start date: before September 2026. Please note, there are two Rota Nanny positions available.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Rota Nanny in Kensington, London, include:
- Take full responsibility for the one-year-old’s daily routine (07:30 – 19:30), including weaning and home cooked meals
- Provide age appropriate, stimulating activities and warm, nurturing care
- Support the 7 and 5 year-old with school prep, after-school time, homework, hygiene routines and bedtime
- Occasionally sleep in the baby’s room, particularly while travelling
- Take sole charge of all three younger children overnight when both parents are away
- Travel extensively with the family across Europe, including ski holidays
- Work collaboratively with the household’s other staff to maintain smooth, consistent routines
Candidates must be/have:
- Substantial, verifiable experience with babies and toddlers, including weaning and nutrition
- Native Spanish or French speaker with a good level of English (desirable)
- Warm, calm and highly adaptable, with a hands-on, down-to-earth approach
- Comfortable working within a fully staffed household as part of a team
- Sporty and energetic, at ease with an active family lifestyle (skiing, swimming, football, tennis)
- A full, clean driving licence preferred (own car an advantage but not essential)
Hours
Rota basis: two weeks on /off, working alongside a second Rota Nanny.
Occasional overnight sleep-ins are required, particularly while travelling, and sole charge of all three children overnight when both parents are away.
Location
Kensington, W8, London, with extensive international travel throughout Europe, including family ski holidays. Comfortable accommodation is provided, including a private bedroom and bathroom.
Salary
£75,000 – £85,000, depending on experience.
