Seasonal Housekeeper / Domestic Couple
Overview
Our client, a private family office, is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a VIP family for an experienced housekeeper, or domestic couple, for their private residence in the Dubrovnik area.
This is a seasonal, live-in position running from July to October, with a strong likelihood of the successful candidate(s) being invited back for future seasons.
The primary focus of the role is expert garment care – the family are seeking someone who can launder and iron fine and luxury fabrics to the highest standard, alongside general housekeeping and upkeep of the property.
The family will also consider a domestic couple, where the second candidate takes on driving, maintenance and additional household support.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Housekeeper or Domestic Couple, include:
Garment Care
- Expert laundering and ironing of the principal’s clothing to the highest standard, covering both formal and casual wear in luxury fabrics
- Wardrobe organisation and ongoing textile care
General Housekeeping
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of all rooms
- Floor washing, carpet care and periodic deep cleaning
- General upkeep and presentation of the property throughout the season
Additional duties – if working as Domestic Couple:
- Driving to nearby EU countries to collect groceries and other household goods
- Small maintenance tasks and minor household repairs
- Support with additional household tasks as requested
Candidates must be/have:
- Proven experience in a similar position within a private household/luxury hospitality setting
- Already based in Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia or Romania
- Strong, demonstrable expertise in professional laundry and ironing (essential)
- Fluent in English or Russian; fluency in both is a strong advantage
- Russian citizens are welcome to apply (assistance provided for European entry documentation)
- Discreet, reliable and highly attentive to detail
- Available for live-in work for the full duration of the season
- For domestic couples: the second candidate should hold a valid driving licence and be comfortable undertaking light maintenance and repair work
- Applications are welcomed from individual housekeepers as well as domestic couples.
Accommodation
Live-in accommodation is provided for the full duration of the season for the successful candidate, or both members of a domestic couple.
Hours
This is a full-time, live-in seasonal role running from approximately July to October.
Working hours will be structured around the needs and occupancy of the household, with flexibility expected as part of a live-in private service position.

Dubrovnik area, Croatia.
Salary
Highly competitive rate, based on experience.
All travel expenses are covered, and an official employment contract will be provided.
