SEN Rota Nanny

Overview

A private family is looking for an experienced Rota Nanny to care for their two-year-old son, who has special needs (Williams Syndrome). The Nanny will have full charge of him during the day while his parents are at work, and will be a consistent, confident presence in his daily life.

The role is one week on/off, live-in during the duty week, with two Nannies sharing the rota. He has a full weekday therapy schedule – occupational, physical and speech therapy – and the Nanny will attend his sessions, build strong working relationships with his specialists and carry their guidance through at home.

The family would love someone outgoing who will actively seek out opportunities for him to socialise with other children. A nursing background would be a real advantage – the current Nanny is a registered nurse with elderly and special needs care experience, but the family is very open to candidates from other caregiving backgrounds with proven special needs experience.

The family spend extended periods overseas and in Canada, typically three to six months at a time, so the Nanny must be happy to travel with them.

There are two Rota Nanny positions available.
