Senior Housekeeper / Cook / All-Rounder
Overview
A private Principal seeks an experienced, hands-on Senior Housekeeper / Cook / All-Rounder to support two primary residences in Milan (winter base) and Ibiza (summer base). This is a long-term role for a stable, energetic and discreet professional who can operate autonomously, maintain high standards, cook daily meals, and adapt to a seasonal lifestyle. The position is operational and hands-on. It is not a formal Butler or Estate Manager role.
This pivotal role requires a hands-on, proactive professional with extensive experience working directly for private families. The successful candidate will ensure seamless household operations and a consistently high level of service, presentation, and discretion across all properties. Milan is the primary base. The successful candidate should be established there or able to arrange their own accommodation. A private apartment is provided in Ibiza during family residence periods.

Responsibilities of the Senior Housekeeper / Cook / All-Rounder in Ibiza and Milan, include:
The Senior Housekeeper/Cook will split their time between two residences.
October – April | Milan
- Principal in residence approx. 3 days per week on average
- 3-bedroom apartment
- Live-in or live-out (both possible)
- Lower-intensity period
Focus in Milan:
- Full housekeeping
- Wardrobe care and seasonal organisation
- Grocery shopping and provisioning
- Cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner when Principal is in residence
- Preparing the home ahead of arrivals
- Light household administration (supplies, maintenance coordination)
Work schedule is aligned to the Principal’s presence (may include weekends). When the Principal is travelling, workload reduces accordingly and presence is not required.
May – October | Ibiza
- 5-bedroom villa
- Live-in (private bedroom with ensuite bathroom and direct garden access)
- Higher-intensity period
Principal and partner are mostly in residence. Occasional gatherings of friends/family.
Focus in Ibiza:
- Maintain impeccable housekeeping standards
- Cooking daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) when in residence
- Oversee seasonal support staff when hired
- Coordinate cleaners or temporary help during busier periods
- Manage supplies, maintenance, garden/pool coordination
The Ibiza period requires higher energy and flexibility. The role suits someone comfortable working independently and maintaining pace during active summer months.
During Ibiza season, one return flight home every 6 weeks is provided (travel paid by Principal).
Job duties
- High-level housekeeping across both residences
- Laundry and wardrobe management
- Daily cooking when Principal is in residence
- Provisioning and inventory management
- Preparing homes ahead of arrivals
- Managing temporary staff in Ibiza
- Coordinating contractors and suppliers
- Maintaining discretion, privacy and organisation
- Occasional trips to London property
Candidates must be/have:
- Proven stability in long-term private household roles
- Strong housekeeping foundation (not purely managerial background)
- Confident cooking simple, fresh daily meals
- Comfortable working solo
- Flexible with seasonal relocation Milan ↔ Ibiza
- Energetic, proactive and efficient (especially during Ibiza season)
- Italian fluent; English required; Spanish a plus
- EU passport / right to work in EU
- Driving licence is a plus, especially in Ibiza
This role requires someone adaptable: winter in Milan is structured and lower intensity; summer in Ibiza requires stamina and flexibility.
Accommodation
Milan: Primary base. Candidates should be established in Milan or able to arrange their own accommodation.
Ibiza: Private apartment provided during family residence periods.
Hours
Full-time permanent position. Flexible schedule based on Principal’s presence.
Summer months more intensive; winter months lighter. Weekend work when Principal is in residence.
Occasional Travel
Occasional short trips to London property may be required (a plus if candidate is passport-eligible).
Location
Based primarily in Milan and Ibiza.
