Temp Nanny
Overview
An experienced, creative, and flexible Temp Nanny is sought for a dynamic professional family based on the edge of Battersea Park in London. This is a six-week temp position supporting two young children, a confident, strong-willed toddler boy, who attends pre-prep five mornings per week, and a happy baby girl, aged one.
The family are highly creative and musical, with busy professional lives and a strong emphasis on communication, organisation and kindness.
Working alongside a full-time Housekeeper, the position is a mix of sole charge and shared care, alongside very hands-on parents. The Temp Nanny will travel with the family for one week around 2/3rd July.
ASAP start for six weeks.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Temp Live-out Nanny near Battersea Park, London, include:
- Providing high-quality, attentive care to both children
- Planning fun, educational and developmentally appropriate activities
- Supporting early learning, including phonics and language development through engaging and imaginative activities
- Taking the children to classes, outings and activities
- Preparing occasional nutritious lunches for the children
- Maintaining clear routines, boundaries and structure (firm but fair)
- Working collaboratively with parents and the full-time Housekeeper
- Remaining flexible and willing to help where needed
- Travelling with the family when required, sometimes at short notice
Candidates must be/have:
- Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Development with proven experience with similar age children
- A valid driving licence (desirable)
- Comfortable, flexible and experienced in family travel
- Warm, kind, loving and emotionally intuitive
- Confident, calm and consistent in setting boundaries
- Active, creative and genuinely enjoys engaging with young children
- Exceptionally organised with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working alongside hands-on parents and knowing when to step back
- Fluent English, and fluency in Spanish or Portuguese (desirable but not essential)
Accommodation
The role is live-out, with accommodation provided during periods of travel.
Hours
Full-time, Monday – Friday, 45 hours per week.
Typically, 09:00 – 18:00, with flexibility required/schedule depending on family’s requirements.
Weekend work may occasionally be required due to travel or family needs.

Battersea Park, London, SW11
The family are due to travel to Lisbon for one week around 2/3rd July.
Salary
£50,000 – £55,000, pro rata.
