Temp Nanny
Overview
A Chelsea based family is seeking an experienced, professional Temporary Nanny for their daughter, currently 20 months old, from ASAP or Tuesday 18th August – Wednesday 9th September.
The family are warm, engaged parents with high standards for their home and their daughter’s care. They’re looking for someone confident, good-humoured and flexible, comfortable with a schedule that shifts day to day. A housekeeper is also employed and the two roles will work alongside one another.
The family will travel to France from 3rd – 8th September; the nanny is expected to travel with them. There may be an opportunity for this role to become permanent for the right candidate.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Temp Nanny in Chelsea/France, include:
- Providing high-quality, nurturing care to a 20-month-old girl, including meals, naps, activities, outings and bedtime
- Planning age-appropriate activities, classes and playdates
- Nursery duties — tidying, organising and maintaining the child’s spaces and equipment
- Occasional babysitting (approx. once a week), with hours shifting later (e.g. 10am–10pm)
- Travelling with the family to France, 3rd – 8th September
- Working collaboratively with the family’s housekeeper
Candidates must be/have:
- Minimum five years’ experience in a professional nanny role, ideally with toddlers
- A professional approach with a clear understanding of the employer/employee dynamic
- Easygoing, adaptable, and comfortable with a shifting schedule provided a few days in advance
- Available for the full period of time – 18th August – 9th September
- First Aid certificate (Paediatric First Aid preferred)
- Valid DBS certificate or willing to undergo a check
- Right to work in the UK
- Excellent references from previous private household positions
Accommodation
This is a live-out position.
Hours / Dates
ASAP or Tuesday 18th August – Wednesday 9th September. With trip to France from Thurs 3rd – Tues 8th September.
50 hours/week, Mon–Fri, core hours approx. 10:00am–19:00.
Location
Chelsea, London, plus France.
