Temporary Daily Nanny

Overview

A high-profile London family with two young children (B6 and G3) are seeking an experienced Temporary Daily Nanny for a fixed-term contract running from 15th April to mid July.

The family are looking for a reliable, confident and nurturing individual who is comfortable in shared care position. The boy is in full-time primary school and the girl attends nursery during the week.

The successful candidate will be a warm and trusted presence within the family home for the duration of the contract, supporting both children’s daily routines, development and wellbeing throughout.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the Temporary Daily Nanny in Primrose Hill, include:

  • Full nursery duties for both children aged 6 and 3 years old
  • Preparing healthy, balanced and age-appropriate meals and snacks
  • Children’s laundry, ironing and tidying of the children’s areas
  • Overnight supervision and care of the children during duty periods
  • Maintaining consistent routines, boundaries and positive behaviour management
  • Managing school drop-off and collection for the boy (full-time primary school)
  • Nursery runs and handovers for the girl (days currently being confirmed)
  • Supporting with homework, reading and school-related activities
  • Liaising with school and nursery staff as required
  • Planning and leading creative, educational and outdoor activities suitable for both children’s ages
  • Supporting the children’s developmental milestones through stimulating play and interaction
  • Organising and attending activities, playdates and appointments as required
  • Responsible for all child-related travel during the duty period, and confidence in driving a large family vehicle

Candidates must be/have:

  • Proven experience as a nanny, with children of similar ages (infant/toddler and primary school age)
  • A capable cook, who is able to whip up nutritious meals for the children
  • A confident and competent driver with a full, clean driving licence — experience with large vehicles essential
  • A genuine animal lover who is comfortable living and working alongside family pets
  • Warm, nurturing and patient with a natural affinity for children
  • Mature, calm and responsible
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • An excellent communicator who can work collaboratively with parents
  • Able to provide excellent references from previous nanny positions

Accommodation

This is a live-out position so no accommodation is provided.

Location

Primrose Hill, London, UK.

Hours

Monday – Friday 07:00 – 19:00.

Fixed term contract from 15th April – mid July 2026.

Salary

Up to £50,000 (pro-rata as temp).
