Rota Nanny (Norland trained)
Overview
Our client, a lovely Indian family in Dubai, are seeking a positive, warm and proactive Rota Nanny to care for their little boy (2 years) and baby girl (4 months). This is a mix of shared care and sole charge with hands-on parents who are very involved in their children’s lives.
A Norland trained nanny with a stable employment history, extensive experience with young children, and a strong Montessori background is preferred. The successful candidate will be energetic, culturally sensitive, and excel working as part of a team in a fully staffed, internationally mobile household.
This detail-oriented family value educational focus and need a nurturing Nanny who can build their timid little boy’s confidence through creative activities (particularly indoors when outside isn’t possible because of the heat) and developmental play.
Maternity Nurses are on rota for the baby girl until end of June 2026.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Rota Nanny for two children in Dubai, include:
- Provide high quality care for a toddler and baby under one
- Implement a strong developmental and educational focus, ideally incorporating Montessori philosophy and EYFS framework
- Create a home based curriculum to prepare the little boy for school
- Plan and deliver age appropriate activities, educational play and language learning opportunities
- Encourage outdoor play and physical activity to build confidence
- Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for the toddler and manage weaning stages for the baby
- Maintain all nursery duties and keep children’s areas organised
- Travel frequently with the family (US, India, Europe)
- Work as part of a fully staffed household with excellent communication and teamwork
Candidates must be/have:
- Preferably Norland trained
- Minimum three years longevity in previous positions
- Extensive experience working with toddlers and babies under one
- Strong educator background, ideally with Montessori experience
- Experience working in fully staffed households
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills
- Energetic, active and comfortable encouraging physical play outdoors
- Culturally aware and sensitive to local customs and dress codes
- Experienced in travelling with families
- Musical ability (e.g. piano) would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of Dubai and its climate would be beneficial
- Comfortable with dogs (family has one friendly dog)
Accommodation
A private ensuite bedroom within the family home will be provided whilst on duty.
Hours
24-hour rota, two weeks on / off.
Alternative option available for overseas candidates: one month on / off.
Location
Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The family’s preference is for local candidates or for candidates willing to relocate to Dubai.
Relocation to Dubai for the required period may also put the nanny in a favourable tax position.
Visa arrangements provided by the family. Driver not required.
Salary
Those currently in Dubai | Competitive salary.
Relocating to Dubai | Competitive salary + one-time relocation bonus.
