Temporary Tutor
Overview
A temporary Tutor is required to support two children (B6 and G4) in Miami, USA, from Monday 16th March to Friday 27th March, inclusive.
The role is purely academic, focussing on English, Maths, and phonics for both children, preferably with experience supporting dyslexia.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Temporary Tutor for two children in Miami, include:
- Deliver daily academic tutoring to both children (2 hours per child)
- Teach Maths and English with a strong phonics component
- Support the boy (6) who is dyslexic and working at Reception level
- Support the girl (4) with phonics, early spelling and reading
- Plan structured lessons aligned with the British Early Years / KS1 curriculum
- Provide light feedback and progress updates to parents
- Maintain a calm, engaging and academically focussed learning environment
Please note, there are no duties related to nannying, cooking, household support or driving required.
Candidates must be/have:
- Experience tutoring children of a similar age
- Available for the entire period 16th March – 27th March inclusive
- Phonics teaching expertise (essential)
- Experience supporting dyslexia
- Confident delivering early English and Maths
- Professional, organised, and academic focussed
Accommodation
This is a live-out position, so no accommodation provided.

Monday 16th March to Friday 27th March, inclusive.
Hours
Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 13:00. Two hours with each child.
Location
Miami Beach, FL 33141.
The family’s primary residence is Dubai.
Salary
Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience.
